Offense

Vert: Cross

grads

Vert counter for reset defenders anticipating bear cut or sponge reset defender. Open side reset cuts upfield and crosses in front of the thrower. Hit the break with continuation from back of the stack or hit a FoS slash with continuation from the back of the stack.

EndZone

End zone play (against zone defense)

JoelT

This describes an endzone play against a zone (wall) defense. The idea is for one player to drag one defender to one side to open up space for another. Be patient and work together to create space. Always look for the dump pass at stall 6 to reset. In this example, players 2 and 3 are working together to score the point. Player 4 stays back for the rest.

EndZone

End zone play (against person-to-person defense)

JoelT

This play describes an endzone play against a person-to-person defense.

Offense

Box offense 2

JoelT

The play starts with a box configuration. The defense forces the first thrower towards the outside of the box. The three cutters maintain a triangle flow creating three throwing options for the handler: A break side throw, a short open throw, and a long throw to the endzone for the score. The cutter coming in from the endzone waits for the previous in-cutter to clear out to the break side before cutting in. Same goes for the player from the break side who would then be cutting to the endzone. Cutters set-up (fake) their cut and observe their mark's body positioning to maximize separation distance from the mark during the actual cut. Cut at full speed and stop only when you securely catch the disc. Ideally, the short option cutter should run immediately to the break side if a throw is not made within 10-15 yards of the handler or if the handler signals "no". (Variations allowed for dump throw)

Offense

Sidestack: Sweep

grads

Back of stack cutters cut under and clear, third from the back goes deep

Offense

Sidestack: Magician

grads

Counter to vanilla sidestack. The player that fields the pull takes the lane.

Offense

Sidestack: Flood

grads

Counter to vanilla sidestack (especially when the defense sags into the big open side lane). Sidestack pushes to the middle of the field to create a big break lane.
