How do I create a play?

Sign in, click Create play, pick your sport and a playing area, and the Playmaker walks you through it step by step. Visit our YouTube channel for a growing collection of how-to videos.

Which sports are supported?

Ultimate, football (US), soccer, hockey, tennis, and pickleball. New sports and playing areas are added over time.

Can I share a play with my team?

Yes. Every play has a shareable link, and Captain and Coach members can embed plays on their own website.

What does the free Rookie plan include?

One public play with up to four steps, one team with up to ten players, and the full game-day screen: attendance, score, stats, lines or subs, shifts, and notes. See pricing for the paid plans.

What is a step, and what is branching?

A play is a sequence of steps; each step moves players and the ball. Branching lets any step split into alternate scenarios, so players see what to do when the defence switches or the throw goes elsewhere. Every branch animates on its own.

Can I print my plays?

Yes. Open a play and choose Print. Every step prints cleanly, one per panel with its notes, for clipboards, binders and tournament sheets.

How do Teams work?

Create a team, add players by name (they do not need accounts), and add games. On game day open the game on your phone to mark attendance, keep score, tap stats, and manage lines or subs. Finished games show up in season totals and box scores.

What is the difference between lines and subs?

Shift sports like ultimate and hockey use lines: named groups you rotate on and off. Sports like soccer use subs: a field and a bench with players swapped in and out. Playspedia picks the right mode from the sport, and you can set how many players are on the field at once in Team settings.

How does shift tracking work?

In line sports, tap Play on a line: it puts those players on the field and counts the point in one tap. In subs sports, tap Log shift whenever the players on the field complete a shift. Each player gets a shift count, and each line shows how many times it was played. Every point or shift appears in the Shifts list at the bottom of the tab, and the ✕ on a row removes it and fixes the counts. For subs sports, minutes on the field are also counted in the background while the game is live.

Which stats are tracked, and can I add my own?

Each sport has sensible defaults, such as goals, assists, blocks and turns for ultimate, or goals, assists, shots and saves for soccer. Members can add custom stats for their team with a label and an acronym. Stats are tapped during the game and summed on the team stats page.

Do my players need Playspedia accounts?

No. Rosters are names only. Only the coach or captain running the team signs in.

Can I use Playspedia on my phone?

Yes. The site works in any modern mobile browser. The game-day screen is designed for one thumb on the sideline.

What is the difference between Captain and Coach?

Captain ($2.99 per month) adds private plays, unlimited steps, ten playbooks, unlimited teams and players, custom stats and embedding. Coach ($9.99 per month) removes the remaining limits and includes priority support.

How do I cancel or change my membership?

Open your avatar menu, choose Membership, and cancel or switch plans there. Cancelling keeps your account and your public plays; private plays over the free limit stay saved but become read-only until you upgrade again.
