Offense
2 Handler Zone O
adrianliemTypical Zone Offense involves 3 handlers back, spread across the field. But an alternative approach is to rely on 2 handlers, freeing up a player to help spread the field wider. With the 2 Handler set, 1 & 2 are the primary handlers, 3 & 4 are wings who can fill in as a third handler, 5 is the primary popper, and 6 is the continuation popper, with 7 as the deep threat. Handlers: Stay in the middle lane of the field, keep the disc moving and look for holes in the zone as the disc moves across the field. Wings: Start cutting from down-field to gain yards on the swing pass. Stay wide to help keep the field spread out. Poppers: Work together. Rely on one to be a primary popper, looking for the first break through the zone D, and the other to be the continuation. Deep: Be active in the back to help pull the middle of the Zone D back or out wide. Look for continuation cuts once the disc breaks through the holes. Here is a basic overview of what this looks like.

Horizontal Stack - L Play
procteraHorizontal Stack from Pull to Point. 2,4,6 are handlers. 1,3,5,7 are the horizontal stack. Player 3 cuts toward the handlers then cuts forced side to get the first throw from the handlers. Player 5 cuts deep to the end zone and then back to get the second throw from player 3. 7 cuts toward the handlers then to the end zone then back to get the disc from player 5 for the third catch. Player 1 slowly creeps toward the end zone and then cuts to the force side for the throw into the end zone from player 5.
