Hybrid Zone
TSUcoachHybrid Zone 3 man cup, downfield man marking- forcing deep. You can see that this zone is meant to force lots of short backwards throws, or risky hucks. This gives the offense a choice of whether to take a loss of ground, or risk a turnover on a big ground gain. Downfield defenders MUST BE TIGHT and MUST stop any unders in order to make this zone work well.

TSUcoachA game realistic horizontal stack set. Defense may seem a little loose, but this is to emphasise the options the offense has. In fact, it may be useful to note the mistakes that the defense makes, and how easily this can put their team under pressure.

Arrowhead Zone
TSUcoachArrowhead Zone defense. The arrowhead zone looks to force the disc wide and backwards, whilst simultaneously putting handlers off throwing deep shots. It often slows offenses down, and forces lots of throws. This attempts to show the different ways that the zone can force turnovers. Generally, the offense will turnover on errant throws, but showing the way this defense can produce blocks is useful to see.
