Step by step 5 steps
  1. Step 1

6 and 7 seem to be the obvious cutting pair. For the first throw they are almost dummy players.

  2. Step 2

6 and 7 both cut upfield, clearing the space in front of the handlers. 5 sets up a cut across the pitch

  3. Step 3

5 cuts across the pitch from break to open, receiving a gaining pass. We assume that 5 will get free, as defenders marking in the side stack often are poaching or not paying attention to their player. As 5 mkaes their cut, 7 also comes under, across the pitch from open side to the break side, clearing the space for 6.

  4. Step 4

As 5 catches the disc, 6 makes a hard cuts under to get another gainer. In 2 passes we are at midfield. 7 is striking deep, and we assume is a hucking option once 6 looks up.

  5. Step 5

6 hucks the disc from midfield to the endzone. With structured cutting, we keep free areas of the pitch that are vulnerable for the defense. This play may not go perfectly. If it does not, players can transition into standard horizontal offense.
