Countering the Bracket
Goucher UltimateThis is a demonstration of how to run an offense against a simple defensive "Bracket". For those who don't know what bracketing is, its an attempt by the defense to guard the entire open side with two players: The front and back defenders in the stack. NOTE: if the player with the disc is really good at making break throws, just use the break side to destroy any bracket.

Goucher UltimatePoaching is a common practice in college level ultimate. However, it is only effective if the offense does not know how to counter. Here are a few options. The "Handler Poach" and "Bracket" maneuver will be covered in additional demonstrations.

WheelsA type of fruit is called out (banana, orange, apple, pomegranate). Then the beast master makes a cut break side to open side, or open side to break side, depending on where the defender is set up. Everyone else in the stack stays where the are.
