Kill Drill

SixPack

The goal for this drill is for players to work on their quick releases. Learning to catch and throw with momentum helps with "give and go" movement.

EndZone

General Endzone Set.

SixPack

3 Players. Whoever catches the disc at the redzone needs to call out 2 other players to run the set. All other players need to push far back in the stack to the back of the endzone to stay out of the play.

Offense

Ho Stack Offence (without Dump and with Under and Break options) - Ro Sham Bo

Martin-Beattie

Edinburgh University Ultimate (Ro Sham Bo) - Ho Stack Offence. With an under cut and a break cut from the centre and sideline.

A basic 5v5 starting offense

Offense

Offense: Psycho

psrugby

This is a Foward-specific play that does not involve 9 or 10. We use this when #9 as been tackled, when we're very close to the try zone (goal-line), or just to mix things up

Defense

Defense: Base

psrugby

This is the setup for our Base defensive formation. Step 6 is the finished product. If the Opponent slant was facing the other direction, #11 would start by playing off the defensive line (across from his man) and #14 would be on the weak side, on the line, across from his man. #11 and #14 basically switch jobs depending on what direction the Opponent's slant is on.

Rotation Zone

Each time the disc is swung between handlers, one member of the cup drops back to prevent the reverse swing, then moves back to be a mid-deep. The closest mid-deep comes to seal upline and joins the cup. The other mid-deeps move to fill in the gap.

Beginner Dribbling Drill

andreliem

Here's a drill that my son (6-7 age group) was doing at his lessons today which was great for practicing basic dribbling and defensive skills. Also gives the kids some practice at judging distance.

Defense

Vert Stack -- Cutting off of Handlers

Sean Gai

Using handler movement to guide cut timing and cut shaping

Offense

Vert Stack -- Cut Shaping and Clearing Sequences

Sean Gai

Basic vert stack principles The person at the front of the stack (blue 2) should set the stack 10-15 yards away from the handlers (blue 1 and 3) and slightly to the break side to open up a wider force side cutting lane. The off-handler (the one without the disc, blue 1) should set up on the break side to avoid clogging the force side.
