Step by step 4 steps
  1. Step 1

The puck is in the bottom right corner, the current chaser is D1. D1's job is to apply pressure to 37 and try to get the puck and clear it down the floor. Notice: D2 and C are infront of their checks (but still inbw their check and the net) ready to intercept passes from 37 into the slot. CLEAR THE SLOT IF IT COMES!

  2. Step 2

The puck has now moved to the bottom left corner, D2 is now the chaser (their job is the same as D1 in step 1). Notice how C shifted over slightly to be in a position to intercept a pass

  3. Step 3

In this situation 35 went after the puck, so in this case offense chases

  4. Step 4

In this situation, the puck flies through the slot and into the bottom left corner. Notice how 37 (D1's check) raced after the puck? In this case D1 IS NOT THE CHASER, because D2 is closer to the puck so it is likely they will get there first. But D2 needs to leave their check (26), this is when D1 will pick up 26 as their new check and D2 will pick up 37 as their new check.
