Basic Set-up (aim for disc to be pushed to 4): Safety sets up closer to 6 to discourage throws to 6 but mainly concerned with hucks to 7, Will sets up between 5 and 6, should discourage pass to 5, Mike sets up behind cup and mainly concerned with 5, Sam position to discourage throws to 7 but only concerned with unders to 7. Cup prevents any throws through them (low throws to 3 and 5)
Scenario 1: Disc is as planned, pushed to 4. C chases chases between 1 and 4's passing lane (prevent immediate pass back)
Cup set up to trap: C sets up directly behind disc, Two stops passing lane back to breakside, One setup next to Two
Offence optimum set up
Mike: while trapping, stops pops in cup or short open side pass (moving like a piston: in and out), Sam plays the deeper open side passes (like hucks to 7)
Will plays breakside (behind cup), pressuring 1 and 6
As sam is kinda the new deep, Safety squeezes down to stop/bid on crazy outlet hammers (space within cone)
Disc gets reset to 2
2 quickly swings to 1, resulting in cup being out of place
Will's main target here is to protect the middle of the field (neutralizes 6 by playing man shortly) allowing for cup to recover and reform
Cup recovers optimumly, now forcing the other side
Mike, Sam and Safety recovers too (back to basic set-up)
Scenario 2: Disc broken to 4
C swoops to 2 and 4's passing lane before closing in, Mike and Sam has to prevent next downfield pass while cup sets up
Cup reforms, sideline trap
Will, Mike, Sam and Deep's movement
Scenario 3: Crazy hammer farside
Again: non-cup players' main priorities are to stop downfield passes (contain) while cup catches up
Should earn enough time to go back to basic set up
