Step 1

O8 carries the ball inside toward D4, who steps inside to stay between O8 and the goal. Behind them, O4 starts running up the touchline.

Step 2

O4 overlaps around the outside of O8, with D8 chasing a step behind. D4 now has two players to stop.

Step 3

D4 stays with O8 to block the way inside, so O8 slides the ball down the line into O4's run.

Step 4

O4 carries the ball toward the end line. O9 attacks the near post, O10 the far post, and O8 moves to the edge of the box.

Step 5

O4 crosses low to the near post, where O9 has got ahead of D3.

Step 6

O9 meets the cross at the near post. If it is cleared, O8 is waiting at the edge of the box for the second ball.
