O8 has the ball facing goal. D4 runs hard to close the space, then slows down in the last few steps. D3 starts across to cover.

Step 2

D4 is side on and goal side, a little inside O8. O8 dribbles toward the touchline and D4 shuffles back with them, showing them wide.

Step 3

O8 keeps going down the line. D4 stays on their feet between O8 and the goal while D3 keeps coming across to cover.

Step 4

With the touchline on one side and D4 on the other, O8 pushes the ball too far ahead. D4 steps in and wins it.

Step 5

D4 passes inside to D3, who has come across to cover.

Step 6

D has the ball back. O8 is by the touchline, and D4 is still between them and the goal.
