Step by step 28 steps
  1. Step 1

    Pull

  2. Step 2

Set up in vert stack. Dump is 45 degrees back maybe 10 yards away from the handle.

    12345671234567
  3. Step 3

2 will try to come straight behind for an easy dump and keep disc in center of field. 1 will immediately run a small give and go move to clear out defender.

    12345671234567
  4. Step 4

If possible we want to hit the quick break throw out to space even if we have to hit it on the run.

    12345671234567
  5. Step 5

What happens if defender lags behind?

    12345671234567
  6. Step 6

Let mark overpursue by faking throw anyway.

    12345671234567
  7. Step 7

Give and go move right back to 1st handle.

    12345671234567
  8. Step 8

    Hit the upline throw.

    12345671234567
  9. Step 9

What happens if defender never gets behind dump?

    12345671234567
  10. Step 10

Lefty backhand or io flick needs to go to outside shoulder towards sideline. Somewhere defender can make no play.

    12345671234567
  11. Step 11

Now that it is on the sideline, what do we do?

    12345671234567
  12. Step 12

Option 1 is to hit an easy around throw. Note that we are throwing out and around the defender. This is not straight back, it is angled so that the defender is on the offensive players back.

    12345671234567
  13. Step 13

We lost yards so we want to get yards back by sending the breakside throw.

    12345671234567
  14. Step 14

What if the dump defender is taking away the around really hard?

    12345671234567
  15. Step 15

1 handle should set up a cut that will attack outside shoulder of the dumper defender if possible. If we can win the outside shoulder, we should be able to receive the disc from the handle.

    12345671234567
  16. Step 16

What if we lose the outside shoulder and have to go inside? That throw might be open still, but the defender has a lot better chance at getting the disc.

    12345671234567
  17. Step 17

To get the disc upline here, we need to change our angle of attack mid-cut to get it.

    12345671234567
  18. Step 18

Or maybe our defender did a really great job. We don't get the disc. That's fine.

    12345671234567
  19. Step 19

1 needs to clear into the stack as quickly as possible without cutting off critical angles. This will require some field sense

    12345671234567
  20. Step 20

1 may cycle right into the front of the stack.

    12345671234567
  21. Step 21

    Enter step description...

    12345671234567
  22. Step 22

Or 1 might go deep to clear out.

    12345671234567
  23. Step 23

    Enter step description...

    12345671234567
  24. Step 24

Or 1 might clear into the middle or back of the stack.

    12345671234567
  25. Step 25

While this is happening we are looking for the big crossfield swing to the front of the stack.

    12345671234567
  26. Step 26

Defender may anticipate this and play it extremely hard thinking he knows what we're doing. At this point, 3 has the freedom to stop and cut for a big upline gainer.

    12345671234567
  27. Step 27

    Upline cut.

    12345671234567
  28. Step 28

Stack moves back. 2 moves into reset position, rinse, repeat.
