Pull
Set up in clam defense. 3, 4, and 5 are taking force side throws. 3 takes away easy inside throws and big unders. 6 has big break throws. 7 plays deep.
Allow cut to force sideline.
Set up 2-3 zone trap.
3, 4, and 5 look to shut down continuation cuts to open side.
1 intercepts the around/long lateral pass to the front of the stack.
2 sets up a hard mark pressuring the behind reset.
7 tries to bait a throw to a receiver at this point while 6 watches over the top.
Settle in.
7 takes away big force side throws.
3 replaces 6 and 1 replaces 3.
4 and 5 settle in.
Assume they get an immediate behind.
2 flares out into the lane.
1 takes away lateral passes
3, 4, and 5 contain open side force throws.
7 and 6 look to bait throws at this point for a turnover.
Settle in.
Say they throw a big swing.
At this point, we have 3 options. We can either stay in our junk look, go 2-3 still, or we can "crumble"
Crumble
Look how scattered and disorganized we have caused their vert stack to be. They may still score, but this is a victory for us. We have players in positions to make play and their flow is disrupted. They are currently trying to analyze what we are doing and this is a good chance to make a play.
Clam
1 and 5 move to take away the breakside.
6, 3, and 4 move in on force side throws.
2 flashes into the lane before moving to engage the dump.
Play dump.
7 covers big over top throws.
6, 3, and 4 secure in cuts. 5 poaches break.
