This is the INITIAL POSITION for the Horizontal Stack. We have 3 handlers, Blue 1, Blue 2, and Blue 3. We also have 4 cutters, Blue 4, 5, 6 & 7. Because they are in front of the disc, Blue 5 and 6 are 'active' cutters.
Blue 5 & 6 will try to receive the disc here, just in front of the thrower.
Or here, in the space downfield.
Since we have two cutters, and two places to receive the disc, Blue 5 & 6 will each move to one of those spaces.
Here, Blue 6 catches a short throw.
Blue 5 can now continue towards the endzone, or run back towards Blue 6.
Blue 6 can throw to Blue 5.
Let's go back to the INITIAL POSITION.
This time, the disc is not thrown.
The active cutters cut in a loose diamond shape, and Blue 5 receives the disc while making an in-cut.
Blue 6 continues cutting in the diamond shape, and receives a pass from Blue 5.
Again, let's go back to the INITIAL POSITION.
Blue 5 catches the disc again. This time, they do not turn to face Blue 6, but instead continue looking at the handlers.
A handler runs up the field and gets a 'dump' pass from Blue 5. Blue 6 continues their run.
Blue 1 is in a great position to make a throw to Blue 6.
