Step by step 8 steps
  1. Step 1

We start in our regular setup, with three handlers and four cutters. The handler who has the disc, in this case #2, calls "Iso (some cutter's name)" - for example, "Iso Brennen" or "Iso Hella". He or she chooses the name of one of the two cutters currently in the center (in this case #5 or #6). This call should come *during the first stall*. Suppose player #5 is Hella, and the handler calls "Iso Hella".

  2. Step 2

What happens next is that all cutters other than the iso player find their closest side line and go to that side line. The idea is to give the iso cutter essentially the whole field to cut and get open in. He or she can fake deep, then go under; or the other way around (harder); or fake left and then go right. The easiest cut is to first fake deep, four or five steps...

  3. Step 3

... and then come back under, on the open side, to receive the disk. All of this should happen pretty quickly, so that if it doesn't work by stall 6, we still have time to dump the disc to another handler.

  4. Step 4

A few things can go wrong, to which we'll need to know how to react.

  5. Step 5

If one (or more!) of the *other* cutters' defenders "cheat" off of them, then the iso cutter cannot do her job.

  6. Step 6

In this case, the players who don't have a defender can easily get open, and one of them will get the disc.

  7. Step 7

Another issue is if the iso cutter just cannot get open (in a position where the handler is comfortable throwing it to her).

  8. Step 8

In this case, the other two handlers arrange for a dump option, as before.
