This is how the field is set on a stopped disc against the 4-man cup (Brownie) FIrst couple of steps just show how the cup moves against swings
If the the dump goes to the open side, the cup shifts slightly to trap the disc on the force side. The marks moves to deny all backfield dump throws.
Reset
If the the dump goes to the break side, the cup changes the force to trap the disc on the break (now open) side. The marks moves to deny all backfield dump throws.
Reset
Now the offensive options: From the center of the field, the handler has only one open look - the dump to the open side. But this is exactly what the defense wants so they can trap the disc on the sideline.
The first look upfield should be to a popper crashing the cup. The second look should be to the other popper finding the gap created in the cup.
Reset.
Dump Resets - The open side handler should be a last resort as the dump. We want to run our dump resets from the breakside through the cup.
The handler can either dump the disc back (resetting the stall count) or the former middle handler pushes out to the breakside
