We pull the disc as the offense gets set-up and we run down the pull.
The Offense centers the disc and we set our cup around the handler, forcing FOREHAND.
The cup is preventing throws upfield and to the backhand side, while the downfield defenders loosely cover offensive players in their Zones.
The handler's only easy throw is a swing to the force side, so they take it, only gaining a few yards.
We set into our TRAP by using the wing on that side and shifting the cup around, more behind the disc.
Side note- the Short Deep, Opposite Wing, and Deep Deep, need to watch the other players for potential Over-The-Top throws.
If the Offense does get a dump off, the cup needs to contain it and force back to the sideline. This might still be a trap situation.
Reset the trap...
If they get a swing after the dump, the cup sprints across the field to force back toward the trap sideline and prevent any continuation upfield.
As the cup resets, the Short Deep (5) and Break Side Wing (1) have covered the continuation throws on that side and the force side wing (6) resets into their normal position.
Once the handler has no viable throws, they'll send it back to the center, and we're right where we started.
Except they lost yards. Yay!
If the Offense DOES happen to get a throw or two upfield, the cup just resets around them and everyone covers the continuations.
Like so. The cup is back in position and they contained the throws because they MOVED TOGETHER.
Meanwhile, Popper 5 is scared and will probably dish it off to Handler 4, and we get to set our trap again! YAY!
