Step by step 10 steps
  1. Step 1

Remeber the setup... Primary cutters (O4 and O5) set the line, even with each other and about 20 yards from the handlers. Secondary cutters (O6 and O7) set up parallel, facing the handlers.

  2. Step 2

As before, the primaries are going to set up their cuts nice and early.

  3. Step 3

    And then make their moves

  4. Step 4

Ooop. This time around, O4 was covered well, so bails out on his cut. O5 is still going deep...

  5. Step 5

But gets looked off (not much separation, or thrower patience.. ). It's time to get creative!

  6. Step 6

The primary cutters just keep doing this: run to open space. The only thing that defines open space for them is "Where is the other primary cutter going?"

  7. Step 7

Notice that the primaries can cross each other here. This is BAD FORM in a vertical, but just fine in a horizontal stack, because the Primariy cutters own the whole middle of the field.

  8. Step 8

If they keep trying to a) separate from their defender, and b) keep their defender out of their partner's lane, one will eventually get an easy pass.
