Step by step 10 steps
  1. Step 1

Setup. Primary cutters (O4 and O5) set the line, even with each other and about 20 yards from the handlers. Secondary cutters (O6 and O7) set up parallel, facing the handlers.

  2. Step 2

Primaries begin setting up their cuts. This has to happen at stall 0! It's not important which cutter goes where, or even that they go in opposite directions. What's important is that they both move, and they're both setting up a cut which will be a viable throwing option.

  3. Step 3

By stall 2 or so, the primaries make their move and present a target to the handler. In this case, they've both chosen a boulder cut (great choice).

  4. Step 4

O4 is the safe option here, with the under cut, coming back to the disc for moderate yards. What's critical here is that O5 is STILL RUNNING. If she stops, then her defender (D5) can help D4. If she is still running, then D5 is forced to follow deep or get burned.

  5. Step 5

There's always two options for the under-cutter. The basic, safe option after an under completion is a reset to the handlers

  7. Step 7

O4 has just caught the pass from an in-cut, and O5 was continuing her deep cut. It's a good idea to check for separation and take the big gain if it's open.
