Step by step 12 steps
  1. Step 1

(Force flick). Set up stack a shade to the open-side. Note: we switch to the front two in the stack being the primary cutters when we are in the 'last' third of the field i.e. not solely in the endzone.

  2. Step 2

First cut is from the second in the stack to the break-side.

  3. Step 3

    Reset.

  4. Step 4

If that first cut is not on then the first in the stack cuts to either side depending on the position of his/her defender.

  5. Step 5

Reset disc with first two cuts not coming off - clear to back of stack.

  6. Step 6

Dump either up the line for the score or alternatively get the disc around. The new front of stack has a very important job as they may need to either fill the handler spot or alternatively it is likely that the dump cuts would have resulted in a loss of ground so they need to drag the stack forward.

  7. Step 7

Re-run front two of stack cuts with new cutters (it may pay to try and get the disc back in a central location).

  8. Step 8

If the disc is on the sideline the we run the "L play", which can be done on both break and open-sides.

  9. Step 9

Front of stack runs straight toward the front cone.

  10. Step 10

Then nice outside-in floaty throw towards the back of the endzone for the easy score.

  11. Step 11

After one cut (if not on), then dump and reset with normal play.

  12. Step 12

Note: for the break-side play the cuts from the first two in the stack are very discretionary, if the first in the stack thinks their defender is out of position then they can go for it and equally the second cut can be open or break-side. As with anything in ultimate you react based on what your defender gives you.
