Step by step 13 steps
  1. Step 1

2 looks for the inside break to 4 for the goal. We only take this option if it is very high percentage, typically no wind/rain and the mark is distracted or something.

  2. Step 2

Suppose we don't hit the break. 2 swings and follows their throw upline. 7 clears hard to the middle when they see the swing.

  3. Step 3

Suppose the strike is covered. (We might hit the inside "7-cut" but suppose we don't.) 3 throws an around to the middle SPACE where 4 runs onto it. 2 becomes a Yoshi, 7 resets.

  4. Step 4

4 catches and looks for a break to 1 for the continue or 5 for the goal. Suppose neither is there. Now we're reset. It's very similar if we swing to the break side...

  5. Step 5

The main difference is that 4 pauses a beat after throwing. In this pause, 1 looks for an inside throw to 5. (Compare to 1)

    12345671234567
  6. Step 6

Suppose it's not there. 5 and 6 both clear hard to the middle, 4 goes upline. This is a very hard throw to score on, mostly it is to clear space - so it must be full speed. (Compare to 2)

    12345671234567
  7. Step 7

Suppose the hardest throw in ultimate is not there. 1 throws to the middle SPACE and 5 runs onto it. 4 becomes a Yoshi, 6 resets. (Compare to 3)

    12345671234567
  8. Step 8

5 catches and takes whatever their over-pursuing mark gives. Now one more time on the force side, where the 1st Yoshi is covered...

    12345671234567
  9. Step 9

Likely 5 will have a continue swing and a cut upline. Again, 7 clears to the middle when they see the swing.

  10. Step 10

Suppose the strike is covered. 2 begins to fill, but is covered or 3 doesn't get the throw off in time. (Meanwhile 4 becomes a Yoshi.)

    12345671234567
  11. Step 11

2 makes a quick change of direction and cuts upline BEFORE they get behind 3. Now we have another option for the goal, if it's not there, 4 fills and 3 throws to the middle SPACE for 4.

    12345671234567
  12. Step 12

4 catches and looks for a break. Everyone else resets.

  13. Step 13

    We do it again.
