Step by step 10 steps
  1. Step 1

This endzone setup is utilized when you have solid group of 3 or 4 players and makes a lot of room for these players to score. This large amount of space allows these players to improvise and make cuts based on their best judgment. Ideally the play will be called from a centred disc position, but can be run from any side of the field. The isolated cutter in the endzone (4) should set up between 10 and 15 yards away from the handler stack (3, 1, 2). This is a primarily handler driven set up, where a handler makes an initial cut, and then 4 will make a continuation cut off that. But if 4 feels like they easily have their check beat, then he or she can make that initial cut and hope that the handler with the disc will recognize it.

  2. Step 2

Play is always initiated by the break side handler (3) cutting diagonally to the open side. During that cut, if 4 thinks that 3 will be making the cut fully to the open side, 4 needs to cut break side.

And then to the handler position.

  5. Step 5

If 3 feels like his or her defender is stopping that up line throw but is giving the dump swing...

  6. Step 6

he or she can cut back to the handler position. It is crucial for 4 to recognize if this is happening so that they do not cut break side prematurely.

  7. Step 7

Once the disc is up in the air to the break side handler, 4 will cut break side for a easy score.

  8. Step 8

RESETTING. This is just the basic outline of what may happen. As stated, the cuts are up to the individual players. Especially if the dump defenders are preventing any passes to the handlers, or if the passes result in moving the disc up the field, but not into the endzone.

  9. Step 9

Another possibility is to have the handler with the disc activate the open side handler first (by looking at them). The open side handler will then cut straight up the line while the disc is floated to the open space. This is generally a harder throw but many defenses do not expect it.

  10. Step 10

As with any endzone offense, if the up field throws/cuts are not available, dumping/reseting the disc is essential to maintaining possession.
