Red is on Defense. Blue is on Offense setting up their horizontal stack.
Blue 1, 2, and 3 are Handling. Blue 4,5,,6 and 7 are cutting. Player 2 starts with the disk in this case.
When playing against a Zone, the key is to keep the disk moving to tire out the cup. In this case, Blue 2 throws to Blue 3 while the cup charges at B3 to set a trap. This is a good opportunity for blue 7, a wing cutter, to cut in and try to get the disk. The wing on the other side of the field should go deep here.
Blue 3 knows he has to get it off quick. He looks at 7 but decides to go back to 2. The poppers look for holes in the cup for the one with the disk to throw through.
The stall count is getting high and nothing is become open. Blue 3 doesn't want to risk almost getting trapped again. He can run just in front of Red 3 and get the disk.
This resets the stall, avoids a trap, and gives blue 3 a perfect opportunity to throw through Red 1 and 2 of the cup. Seeing that Blue 1 has the disk, Blue 4, a wing sees a golden opportunity and cuts in.
The disk is thrown to Blue 4, but the cup follows him. Blue 4 is intelligent and chill. He glances up field to see if anything is open and then looks right back at his handlers
He wisely dumps to the pivot handler. Blue 2 looks around but doesn't see anything. The stall count is getting higher and thoughts of distress begin to run through Blue 2's mind. He starts to panic (but doesn't do anything irrational) and begins to feel the taco bell he foolishly ate before the game.
Luckily, blue 6 knowing the stall count is getting high decides to "Crash" the cup. He runs into the cup and Blue 2 gives him the pass with a sigh of relief.
Blue 6 throws to Blue 3. Again, the wing on this side sees this as an opportunity to cut in. However, the trap gets there first. Traps should be avoided! They're difficult to throw against.
Knowing that Blue 3 is trapped. The other handlers help him out. Blue 2 draws his defender out of the way while Blue 1 cuts closer to avoid getting poached. Blue 3 fakes up field and throws to 1.
The other handlers give Blue 1 an options. Again, the wing 4 cuts in since its on his side. However, the wing on the other side finds a great open field deep.
Blue 1 throws a beautiful throw deep to Blue 7. Remember, the key to playing against a cup is to keep it moving, especially between the handlers.
