Offense sets up. Disc in the middle
Defense sets up. Hand Man D. Force forehand.
Cutting sequence is based on 1. Whoever is on the open side 2. What the defender gives. In this case, BLUE 6 will initiate. He will make a fake deep before planting inwards. Notice how all the other mids/wings move along in a piston motion. Try not to stay stationary in the stack, even if you are not getting the disc. Move around to create space for the next pass, WHILE not allowing your own defender to poach your teammates.
BLUE 6 cuts in for the disc. Lets assume the pass is successful. BLUE 5 completes his inward fake and is going deep atm. BLUE 6 can choose to huck it, or wait for BLUE 5 to make a continuation in cut. Meanwhile, the BLUE wings will push upwards to look for opportunity to create continuation (deep/in-cuts) General guide for the wings now, is to treat BLUE 6 as a handler and remain at the usual stack distance away from BLUE 6. About 5-7 meters away. Lets not move the handlers yet at this point.
BLUE 5 decides to cut inwards and receive the disc. At this point of time, the continuation options are BLUE 4 and BLUE 7 who have previously positioned themselves nicely to receive the next disc. However BLUE 7 realizes that he is in the way and knows that ideally, the throwing lane should be kept clear. Any throw that may reach BLUE 7 would be rather difficult. BLUE 4 should be coming across for the easier throw from BLUE 5. So here, BLUE 7 will cross over to the middle and lets say he forms the vertical stack in the endzone.
BLUE 5 completes the flow by throwing into space for BLUE 4.
Lets take it back and look at a few situations. Cases when BLUE 6 DOES NOT receive the disc.
Cuts initiate.
BLUE 6 gets a hard time getting free. Everyone else pretty much does the same follow up movements. However BLUE 4 now (if alert enough can provide another in cut.) Play back if you need to understand what happened.
Now focus on how BLUE 6 leaves the "Stage". BLUE 4 might get the disc here or not. Largely depending on how BLUE 6 clears. Remember, clear from either "exit" by EITHER side of the stage. DONT LINGER ON STAGE.
Assuming BLUE 4 doesnt get the disc, he will clear the same way as BLUE 6. Now the wings and mids are a little messed up. Thats ok. Relax.
Now the handler has passed his "expiration period". Wait for them to swing or complete their cutting sequence. Watch.
Handlers continue to weave. Stack adjusts back. Weave completes. Cuts should be ready (faking done) and will commence now.
BLUE 4 receives. BLUE 5 clears out from throwing lane.
BLUE 7 goes for an up the line run. BLUE 5 prepares to finish the movement.
And does it!
Celebrate! Watch those handlers sprint the whole field for joy
