Standard zone D formation in indoor Ultimate (1-2-1). The marker (5) usually forces the thrower to the nearest sideline (in this case, backhand).
Offense should force a 3-on-2 situation mid-field. Defense should react accordingly.
Handler (1) and cutter (4) should make good, hard cuts to free up cutter (3). This move should be coordinated to assure a forward pass.
If a pass cannot be made, handler SHOULD swing the disc and steps 2 and 3 shall be done again.
In this case another move can be done (the move I prefer). Cutters should sag and supporting handler shall make a "burger" cut.
From here, steps 2 and 3 or a give-go with handlers can be done.
Step 2..
Step 3.. but now pass is completed.
Pass to handler and zone D should now dissolve in to a man-to-man (forcing one side, forehand).
Cutters should set up a V and a classic dump-swing shall be done.
Handler makes a swing cut and cutters set up. Handler could look for a break pass or a burger cut from supporting handler. Burger time nalang.
Cutters clear and GOAL!
