Step by step 7 steps
  1. Step 1

When 3-2-2 is called, we will be setting up a temporary zone look for about 3-7 throws.

  2. Step 2

A cup sets up around the handler and forces middle (towards the middle of the field). The second set of defenders stay under their man just behind the cup, while the back two defenders always stay behind whoever is in front of them.

  3. Step 3

The offense moves around a bit while the defense stays in a zone-ish setup

  4. Step 4

The disc is swung to the sideline and the cup continues to force middle. The second set of defenders continue to stay shallow, even if their man goes deep. They will attempt to find whatever man is closest to the cup, and stay under him (2 defender finds 7 and 3 defender finds 1)

  5. Step 5

Disc is swung back to the middle. Force stays the same. Offense moves around. More switches are done to make sure 4 and 3 are picking up the close cutters and 1 and 2 are staying deep

  6. Step 6

Once the disc is swung for the allotted number of throws (We'll pretend it's been thrown 5 times), the defense finds the closest man and no longer stays in a zone look. The count for number of throws will be anywhere from 3-7 and is silently counted in the heads of each defender. There will be no mirror call.

  7. Step 7

The defenders in the cup will find the closest handler, the deep defenders will find the two deepest cutters, and the two defenders behind the cup will find the two closest cutters
