Enter step description...
Poppers have 2 main roles. the first is mirroring the movement of the handlers looking for openings in the cup to receive the disc. One popper (blue 5) should play slightly closer to the cup. While the other should be playing behind the short deep (red 4) and in front of the deep deep (red 7)
As they are mirroring the disc movement the popper close to the disc (blue 5) will draw the attention of the short deep (red 4) leaving some openings over the top for the other popper (blue4) to fill if the throw is available.
The other responsibility for the poppers is to crash the cup in a sideline situation to receive a short pass and reset the stall count.
They will then look to dump it right back to the handler behind the cup
handlers will then swing the disc to the other side. here the far popper (blue 4) should be looking to get closer in to receive the disc since blue 5 is somewhat removed from the play
As blue 5 will now look to fill the over the top space that was left by blue 4
Blue 4 is now past the cup and can look upfield to try and find either a wing or other popper to continue before the cup catches up
