Step by step 8 steps
  1. Step 1

Starting with the disc on the break side of the field. It's not as straightforward as the middle, but probably worth trying since there's so much open side for cutters to work with. Note that the stack is diagonal (squared up to the handler) and the other handlers are back a bit to move their marks out of the way of throws. It's also very important that the cutters keep space between them in order to avoid picks.

  2. Step 2

First cut by 4 to the open side from the BACK of the stack. The first cut could be to the break side but there's so much room on the open side so why not. Note how the stack moves back, as it will continue to do as cuts proceed.

  3. Step 3

If 4 doesn't get thrown to, it's back to the front of the stack. And 5 now cuts break side off the back of the stack. Not a lot of room over there, but the handler may be able to put in a short break throw. Stack moves back again.

  4. Step 4

Back to the front for 5, and 6 cuts open side. Note the different angle 6 takes compared to 4 - just emphasizing that with all that space there is more than one look possible.

  5. Step 5

6, if not thrown to, returns to the front of the stack. It's probably getting up around stall 5... time to default to getting the disc to the middle of the field. Handler 1 should establish eye contact with handler 2, who should...

  6. Step 6

... cut upfield. If he beats his mark, it could be a score (although it's a difficult throwing angle). More likely the mark will not want to get embarrassed that way, so...

  7. Step 7

... handler 2 will take advantage and shoot right back into the open space he's created.

  8. Step 8

The result should be handler 2 having the disc centered in the middle of the field. Note that the vertical stack must be aware of what is happening and simply slide so they are straight up and down, thus lining up with the new handler. From this reset, the endzone stack can proceed as normal.
