The general HO / 3-3-1 set up.
Typically, the disc is swung to one side. and the cup moves to hold it there..
The disc is then swung back across the middle to the other side.
And of course, the cup follows. Notice that handler 1 has crept up the field so that this swing is a gainer, rather than a loss. ALSO notice that DEFENDER 5 may have a play on this disc, so our mids need to keep them active and deep. In this way, our handlers can move the disc up the field in small steps. We MAY be able to move faster once the cup gets tired, but this often requires MANY passes.
RESET to start... Now we will look to get bigger gains by having our wings more active.
The disc is swung to the side again.
The wing on that side is looking for an UNDER CUT to receive the disc. NOTICE it is not a straight cut towards the handler, as this will result in a disc on the side lines, but rather a 45 cut off the line.
If the option is takne, 7 looks to 6 and so on
Well broken the cutters will 'flow' up the field.
If the disc is not thrown to 7, we will be looking to swing it back across the field.
In a similar manner to the inital pass, it will come back and across.
Cutter 4 is timing the cut to receive a pass from HANDLER 1
The pass comes up and the cutters flow on.
