Step by step 6 steps
  1. Step 1

  2. Step 2

Trap broken (probably by handler 2 circling behind disc, but could be through the 1-5-2 cup). Note that if D#3 lets the short dump go but picks up the swing cut the trap cup can reset easily.

  3. Step 3

Assume offense gets disc in center of field with swing to show cup reset with offense pushed back into endzone. Note cup formation and how O#2 is out of position and not a threat although uncovered.

  4. Step 4

Assume O#2 does as should, will come around and receive the dump pass. D#6 and D#7 must adjust quickly or zone is broken up sideline.

  5. Step 5

Cup Resets to trap sideline. D#1 Can be aggressive to stop pass to O#1 but should not challenge the dump to O#3 if the offense is willing to lose yards to get the swing.

  6. Step 6

Occasionally D#2 can swing behind O#2 to challenge the dump to O#3 but D#5 and D#3 must shift with him so that there are no holes through the cup. D#6 should cover the up the line as the cup shifts.
