Step by step 6 steps
  1. Step 1

When the offense gets within 15 yards of the end zone, a vert stack is a better use of space. The default action is cuts from the back to the front cone. The default action will fall apart, but cutters should strive to reset to this basic formation whenever possible.

  2. Step 2

Cutter 4 cuts from the back to the open side. Cutter 3 prepares his next cut. Cuts to the open side are prefered, but break side cuts are usefull as well and should not be abandoned. Cutters 1 and 2 move back in the endzone to create space for clearing and to keep defenders honest.

  3. Step 3

Cutter 4 clears while watching the disc in case an easy throwing opportunity happens. Cutter 3 makes his cut and cutters 1 and 2 move back again, allowing cutter 2 to be lined up for his next cut.

  6. Step 6

Cutter 1 clears, cutter 4 makes his cut, and cutters 2 and 3 move back. This is a complete cycling of the cutters and that cycle will continue with cutters going to both the open side and break side until the disc is scored.
