Step by step 12 steps
  1. Step 1

Zone offense and defense are set up. The wall, in this case, is a 2 man wall, however this play is effective with a 3 man wall as well.

  2. Step 2

The handler has an easy swing to the handler on the left (#1), but that's exactly what the defense wants. The handler can swing breakside to #3, but that's a difficult throw.

  3. Step 3

If the handler can't break the cup or get the disc downfield, the handler on the breakside should crash the cup between the mark and the man in the wall.

  4. Step 4

As the dump crashes into the cup, the handler dishes him the disc.

  5. Step 5

The dump who just received the disc uses his momentum steps (all 3 of them!) to break free of the cup and make a continuation throw.

  6. Step 6

However, some circumstances may prevent the dump from getting the disc.

  7. Step 7

The mark or a member/both members of the wall may collapse on the dump.

  8. Step 8

If this happens, the dump should clear out hard.

  9. Step 9

The handler can now take advantage of the weakened wall and make a throw to a popper. The other popper cuts out.

  10. Step 10

The popper that just cut out now cuts in for the continuation. One of the wings cuts out.

  11. Step 11

The wing that just cut out cuts in for a continuation and the other wing cuts out deeper.

  12. Step 12

The wing that just cut out cuts in for a continuation and ends that particular series of continuations. While these throws are being made downfield, the zone defense will struggle to keep up and the rest of the offense should move downfield to help.
