  1. Step 1

We run a basic vertical stack with 2 handlers and a stack of 5 players.

  2. Step 2

The most basic form of this stack will involve 1 person making cuts from the back of the stack. The rest of the stack should continue to move backwards.

  3. Step 3

6 is ready to make their cut as 7 is finishing theirs. Notice how the front of the stack #3 has now created space for 7 to move to.

  4. Step 4

As 6 makes their cut, the handler sees the option and throws to the space they are cutting to.

  5. Step 5

Instead of cutting towards the handlers, they make a cut into the endzone (this is often called a continuation). The stack moves downfield to reset.

  6. Step 6

If the cutter 5 doesn't get the disc, 6 will dump the disc back to a handler.

    7 makes their cut

  11. Step 11

When 7 receives the disc. The stack shifts towards the disc, the last player in the stack goes deep.

  12. Step 12

7 dumps the disc back to the handlers and returns to the stack.

  13. Step 13

We want the disc in the middle of the field when possible, so handler 2 swings the disc back to 1
