2 handlers set up (#1 and #2), the stackmaster (#3) sets the stack about 10-15 yards in front of the handlers and on the break-side. This location of the stack allows the cutters to cut to the open side.
The last man in the stack (#7) cuts out about 10 yards at a 45ยช angle from the stack. The rest of the stack (excluding the stackmaster) move back slightly.
#7 cuts in toward the handler, and as he does this, #6 cuts out in the same fashion #7 just did. #5 and #4 continue moving back, but never farther than #7 was originally.
#7 does not get the throw, so he clears out in a full sprint to right behind the stackmaster. #6 cuts in toward the handler, and #5 cuts out. #4 backs up to the back of the stack.
#6 doesn't get the throw, so he clears out to behind the stackmaster in a full sprint. #5 cuts in but the dump swing is being made simultaneously.
If the dump is completed to the right side of the stack (from our view here), cutters continue cutting to the same side. If the swing is made downline or too far to the left, watch.
The dump gets the swing in line with handler #1. Making a throw to the original side (the right side of the field) is hard from here, so the stackmaster cuts breakside, the 3rd man cuts in a bit, and the stack moves toward the opposite side of the field.
The #7 man cuts in, as the man in the back of the stack cuts out, and gets the disc from the former stackmaster (#3). The stack continues moving back and the #3 man who just threw it becomes the stackmaster again.
The #4 man now cuts in and gets the throw from the #7 man if possible.
If the #4 man cannot get the throw, he clears out and the stack continues.
continuing.
