Red will be on defense.
The pull!
The zone sets up against the blue team.
Players 3 and 7 are the "chasers" or "handlermarks." 3 is forcing into the center of the cup, and 7 tries to keep the swing from getting to Blue Handler #5. Red Players 4, 5, 6 take away the throwing options and lanes upfield for Blue Handler #4. Red players #1 and #2 are the mids/deeps, and are responsible for playing defense against any throws that go over the cup.
The disc swings to Blue Handler #5. Red Chaser #7 takes up the mark, and still forces to the center of the cup.
The disc swings to Blue Handler #3.
Red Chaser #3, the cup, and Red Chaser #7 all shift over. Chaser #3 forces into the cup. Chaser 7 prevents any swings.
Blue player #2 pops into the cup. Mids #1 and #2 tell the middle of the wall, Red #5, "Crash left," and Red #5 tries to take away the crash from Blue #2.
The disc gets to Blue #2.
The zone shifts back into its original set up. #3 is marking, and #7 is preventing the swings.
The disc swings to Blue Handler #3.
The cup follows.
The disc swings to Blue Handler #4. The cup continues to force towards the center. Red Chaser 7 will be on the mark.
Blue Handler #4 tries to huck to Blue Cutter #6. Red's deep/mid #2 D's the throw because she's playing good defense, did her job successfully, and didn't let Blue #6 get past her on the field.
