Step by step 9 steps
  1. Step 1

Setup. Ma is marking either straight up, or if 1 or 3 are specifically dangerous handlers, away from the handler we don't want to get the disc. MI will join in the directional force but here is playing an FSU rule for the straight up mark.

  2. Step 2

As the disc swings, the front players should close in to set the sideline trap. W1 should also close in, as there is no further deep threat.

  3. Step 3

Sideline Setup. Ma is doing a hard sideline force and Mi and F2 are joining the cup. F2 will respond to crashes and F1 marks the dump space. Here, where there are two dumps, they stand close enough to 2 to put some threat on a floaty throw, noting that 3 will likely have to go over the cup. W1 remains in the space covering an option to 4 and throws over the cup to the middle.

  4. Step 4

Where 2 relocates behind the cup, F1 ignores them and looks to stop the further swing if 2 gets the disc.

  5. Step 5

Should 4 come under, F1 drops in to put pressure on a throw to them, and W1 doesn't follow the whole way in. In this instance where the disc has gone back; f1 is trying to put pressure on throws to both 1 and 4 noting that 2 has very little time to make the throw before Ma sets back up on them

  6. Step 6

Where the throw doesn't come up Ma re-establishes the sideline force. Here there is a little more space, and so the downfield players will need to adjust (see next step)

  7. Step 7

Here it is appropriate for W1 to come in almost as an FSU and W2 to almost play as a deep as W1 was already under and can cover the shot between Mi and F2 well. If, however, W2 was more under the adjustment might look like the following step instead.
