Step by step 6 steps
  1. Step 1

The basic zone is a 1-3-1 or "arrowhead" zone. 1 is the Rabbit, 2 is the mid-mid, 3 and 4 are wings, 5 is deep. The rabbit will force the nearest sideline at all times. 2 is basically a 2 person cup with 1 and won't move around very much or chase any players. 3 and 4 will be between as many offensive players and the disc as possible. 5 stops long bombs.

  2. Step 2

The handler will likely have to swing to the open side. When this happens, the rabbit will continue to force, the wing from that side will take away the upline, and the mid-mid (2) will take the space in between. the opposite wing (4) will come over to try and precent anything over the top, and deep (5) can squeeze in tighter as well.

  3. Step 3

At this point the second handler will likely have to go for a quick dump to the first handler. The first handler will probably want either a give and go back to #2 (to break up the zone) or catch an opposite side cutter like #5. The Rabbit (1) will prevent the immediate give and go to number 2 instead of marking right away. Opposite wing (4) will cover the opposite side swing) while the other wing (3) and the mid-mid (2) reset position. If the give-and-go is successfully stopped, then the Rabbit (1) will go back to marking the thrower and count. If this happens then...

  4. Step 4

  5. Step 5

If we get a disc on a sideline off a dead play (pull, out of bounds, etc.) set up a trap. Rabbit now takes away the dump while the mid-mid (2) counts and forces out of bound. The wing for that side (3) will take the upline away. Opposite wing moves middle to take anything over the cup and deep calls out where people are moving and helps where possible.
