Initial - Players 1 & 2 are the cup (only 2 cuppers) - Player 3's entire responsibility is to stop cross field movement - Player 4 is an extension to the cup with a bit more mobility. They are focused on shutting down anything to the middle of the field - Players 5 & 6 are mids. They behave similar to mids in a regular zone, but have a larger area to cover. They should focus on not letting sideline throws happen - Player 7 is deep. They do all the things deeps regularly do
Attempted swing Player 3 tries to intercept any cross field movement. No easy throws!
Initial
Dump - Players 1 & 2 move to the new handler to set up as a 2 cup - Player 3 is now responsible for stopping any throws to the force side of the field handlers - Player 4 moves with the play and is focused on cutting down the available field - Player 5 & 6 continue behaving the same way, but 5 can likely pinch in a bit due to the loftiness of throws going to their side of the field - Player 7 does what deeps do
Attempted swing Player 3 tries to intercept any attempted swing
Swing - If a swing does occur - Players 1 & 2 move into a semi-trap position - Player 3 takes the dump. Focus is on stopping short throws that would lead to movement around the cup - Players 5 & 6 - Keep doing mid things - Player 7 keeps being deep
Break/Reset - If a break does occur, we move back to the configuration that pressures the easiest handler throw
Upfield throw - In the event of the upfield throw, everything shifts back. Player 3 moves back to disrupt any give and goes in the uncovered zone, but will quickly return to causing havoc for the handlers.
