Step by step 4 steps
  1. Step 1

Initial Setup, box offense, force is flick. Sometimes the rotation of the cuts is reversed when the disc is thrown to the offside handler (currently #2) and the original handler (#1) now becomes the cut initiator. But first, a full rotation of cuts initiated by #2.

  2. Step 2

#2 initiates the cut, cutting counter clockwise. Players 3 and 4 follow #2's lead.

  3. Step 3

Player 1 throws to the offside handler #3, and now becomes the offside handler, thus taking on the duty of initiating the cut.

  4. Step 4

Rather than continuing to cut counter clockwise, player 1 will often choose to reverse the rotation as the cross-field cut is typically more desirable and they can often catch their defender flat footed. The real trick is the other cutters (2 and 4) need to be paying enough attention to watch player 1's actions and follow their lead.
