Step by step 10 steps
  1. Step 1

The Cuddle zone is a standard containment zone in the middle of the field. The mark (1) has a straight-up force. The flaps (2, 3) and plugs (4, 5) are stopping short throws. The deeps (6, 7) are stopping deep throws.

  2. Step 2

If the disc is thrown to within ~5m of either sideline, the mark can call for a trap.

  3. Step 3

The mark puts on a sideline force. The furthest flap (2) marks the closest dump, effectively playing match on them. The closest flap (3) sits in front of the disc in the throwing lane.

  4. Step 4

The plugs and deeps will adjust based on what the closest opponents are doing.

  5. Step 5

If every opponent close to the disc is covered, the furthest plug (4) can move over to pressure the big swing pass to the far handler.

  6. Step 6

If there's only 1 deep threat, the furthest deep (6) could instead by the one to push in and pressure the swing pass.

  7. Step 7

Or they can communicate to the furthest plug (4) and have them cover the swing, and instead push into the middle of the field.

  8. Step 8

If the opponents manage to get the disc out of the trap towards the middle of the field again, revert back to a standard Cuddle.
