Our zone focuses on getting the disc to the sidelines to decrease the amount of space that the opposing offense can use.
The first position is the Mark. They chase the disc wherever it goes. I go into more detail on this in a later collection of slides.
The two Lanes set up around 10-15 feet upfield from the disc. They are responsible for cutting off easy throws upfield of the disc.
The Mid defends the center of the field and communicates with the Lanes about cuts coming into their area.
The two Wings are responsible for guarding the edges of the field. They stop continuation throws off of swings and over the top throws like hammers and blades.
The Deep stops throws into the deep space behind the rest of the team, and also communicates with the Mid about cuts coming into his area.
