Step by step 9 steps
  1. Step 1

Let's look at the basic scenario where we are starting an offensive point from the center of our endzone. In this scenario we will likely have a couple people subbing on offense, so it's important for the handler picking up the disc to wait until our stack is set.

  2. Step 2

In this scenario we can have our player at the back of the stack fake a cut deep and come under to initiate the offense. At the same time, our front of the stack will cut to the break side before cutting deep for a huck option. Both of these are viable cuts and player 3 needs to be ready for a break side pass. This should all happen around stall 0/1.

  3. Step 3

If the middle handler dishes to the break side, they must IMMEDIATELY move to clear upline and make space for the force side handler to become the reset. At the same time, the 2 remaining players in the stack stay put and we can prepare for a double break side threat.

  4. Step 4

Here, we have both breakside options going one after the other for 2 break threats at different depths. Our last player in the stack must push down field and be centred, ready to play off what happens next. If the break options are covered we have 3 options: 1. reset to the new center handler 2. hit the player coming under 3. hit the front of the stack.

  5. Step 5

Lets go back to starting with the disc in the middle and our initiation cuts.

  6. Step 6

As these cuts progress, the two remaining players in the stack will push a little bit downfield. This opens up space so that if we get it on the force side...

  7. Step 7

If disc is on the force sideline, we need to yell SIDELINE! Notice how both handlers get moving immediately after the disc goes up. The handler that was on the sideline becomes the center reset and the center handler becomes the break strike. At this point, we need player 5 to clear the lane so player 3 can cut under. Player 4 at the back of the stack needs to push more downfield and get ready to make a cut when needed

  8. Step 8

We have one or two stalls for the player with the disc to look for the under or deep strike. Then, they must turn and commit to the center handler so we can run our sideline play. Player 3 MUST clear the force side lane if they don't get the disc.
