This is basically an arrowhead zone, with a flat chase and points off the side of that. 7 is the deep here, but there's no reason to be so deep with the offence not yet spread.
In a more spread field, this is basically what we are after. The 4 is still the Spot which is responsible for keeping control of the space in the middle, and 5 and 6 are the wings. There will be a lot of handing off and switching between those three players. 1 and 3 are the points and will be trying to get in the way of throws downfield to make them as hard as possible - sometimes that's standing in space, sometimes it's tracking people.
On the sideline this becomes hound, with the far point coming across to apply pressure and becoming the force. The middle player takes lateral passes while the near point takes upfield passes. 4 and 6 rotate over to cover the space behind. 3 should be aware of any crashes into that space in front of them.
If they come off the line, it's important we contain immediately with 3 shooting across. Once that contain happens, 2 retakes the force.
In this zone, 1 and 3 might end up running shuttles across the field. It's hard work, but it's designed to keep the pressure on the disc as much as we can while containing downfield.
