The basic set up is something like this. The two forces always ensure that they are clamping the disc - one is always between the disc handler and the closest reset.
The dump defender always makes sure that they are closer to the disc than the handler, as 1 does here when it swings.
The three people in the 'wall' are not marking zones. The middle person, 3 in this diagram, is the Spot. Their job is to take any crash movement from handlers or from the cutters and to crash the space directly in front of the disc. 4 and 5 are the other wall defenders and they are match marking whoever comes into their space, handing them off when they go deep.
7 is the Rover, and their main responsibility is helping out behind the spot and covering the space between wings so the deep can keep the lid on the offence.
If we get them to the sideline we go to Hound, where the force is an aggressive one towards the line and the other two players up front form something like a wall, the wing pushes in.
If they break out of this, we want to contain first and then pressure the disc second. So it looks something like this progression:
1 comes across to stop anything easy in the middle. 2 stops continuation back into the middle. 3 gets in front of the closest offensive player. 4 cuts off the big lane down the line. 5 pushes in slightly to make the full width pass harder. 6 and 7 both shift down to protect the middle of the field.
