  1. Step 1

    This play is designed for a starting position near or on the sideline, close to the endzone. The play has one dump option and the remainder of the team in a vertical stack in the center of the endzone.

  2. Step 2

    The first option is the up-the-line cut from the dump, since it is the shortest and simplest option. For this same reason, it will most likely be the option the defense is most concerned about.

  3. Step 3

    If the defense successfuly prevents this option, the result will look like this: An empty backfield with the mark in the "strike" position.

  4. Step 4

    This opens up the second option, which starts with a quick up-field fake from the front of the stack, to a dump cut.

  6. Step 6

    The first reaction for the dump is too immediately look to the wide-open break side for an in-cut.

  7. Step 7

    This cut can come from any of the remaining players in the stack. This person should be pre-determined, as speed and fluidity is essential to this play working.
