Step by step 6 steps
  1. Step 1

The disc can be centered or sideline-trapped. It doesn't really matter what the force is, but everyone must recognize it and initiate accordingly.

  2. Step 2

Two force-side cutters (6,7) make clearing cuts. These are somewhat viable looks, but mostly decoys.

  3. Step 3

The initial cutters (6, 7) complete their clearing out, essentially to where (4) and (5) started. Now, (5) makes their move, with underneath and deep cuts both being viable looks.

  4. Step 4

The receiver (5) can look upfield here. The primary look will be at (4). Note: The side handler (3) must be aware of clogging the lane and should only attempt to cut for a dish if they are pretty sure that they will receive it. Otherwise, move upfield, but stay behind (5) and be ready to receive a dump and swing if the defender tries to jump the lane.

  5. Step 5

The primary second look will be to (4). Both deep and underneath are options. If it comes underneath, the next look is at (7). * Note that the far-side handler (1) is ready to clear upfield, should the disc remain on the force side. This sometimes becomes a viable deep look.
