    middle set line defenders watch disc, need to be close enough to stop inside throw to front of stack, far enough to guarantee not getting beat to the cone. aware of dump. if dump tries to go up field, 2&3 are there to stop that 4&5 guard in cuts 6&7 guard back line, floaty throws, hammers, blades 1, as the mark, keeps their body between the disc and the front of the stack

  2. Step 2

    front stack iso cut defended by both line men, 4 or 5 come in to guard new front of stack (4 in this case)

    iso cutter looks for inside break after not getting open to the cone, finds another defender there

    reset, perm mark follows

  5. Step 5

    handler movement is the only option to advance the disc. perm mark does what they can to contain it. as it gets close to the front line, the line defenders can start to help stop up field handler throws

    force sideline. the o can possess the disc for as long as the mark is able to stay on both feet, but any attempt to put the disc in the endzone will probably be a turn
