  1. Step 1

  2. Step 2

The main cutters all start clearing out. The wing/rail sets up his cut a bit by driving his defender back.

  3. Step 3

The player receives the pass. After this, it's merely a matter of providing options for continuations. Some classic options is to let 6 cut to the breakside while 5 does a double cut and tries to go under or out based on what his defender does. If 5 doesn't shake his guy with a cut, he can clear and leave a lot of space for 7 to move about.

  4. Step 4

To run a reverse sweep, you just flip it. Notice that the handler pays off to try and be a bit more towards the break side.

  5. Step 5

So everyone else cuts out with the force side staying in. Depending on how the defender 7 plays, you can either just push him in until you have an easy force side cut. Or if he overplays anything deep or to the force side, then you do the next step.

  6. Step 6

See that you can then have a basically flat "break" thow.

  7. Step 7

If you like afterwards, you can run a series of cuts to give new options to this guy. This kind of cutting clears up more breakside continuation.

  8. Step 8

If 6 doesn't get it, you now have two cutter deep who can come under. Clearing 5 out all the day and letting 4 come under could be a big gainer as the mark opens up the force side again.
