Step by step 8 steps
  1. Step 1

Initial 2-3-2 Setup with 2 chasers, 3 in the wall (middle & wings), and 2 deeps. The force is "middle."

  2. Step 2

The "wall" is responsible for any throws upfield. Cutters that try to crash the cup need to be blocked off by the mid-wall (4). The two wings can assist, but shouldn't pinch in too hard as the outside still needs to be covered. The 2 deeps (6) & (7) need to communicate with the wall where cutters are coming from. It also helps if (4) face guards and communicates with (5).

  3. Step 3

The 2 chasers will always have 1 on the mark (1) and another on the force side swing (2). The Force side chaser is responsible for shutting down the easy swing, while the chaser on the mark is responsible for not allowing any breaks and forcing the thrower to throw into/over the wall.

  4. Step 4

If a swing occurs on either side, the wings (3) need to quickly "seal" and stop the continuation throw

  5. Step 5

When the disc gets to the sideline this is where we "trap" them. The closest chaser (1) will mark the thrower for a hard no around break. The wall will curve and move in to essentially create a box around the thrower. The other chaser (2) is responsible to stopping any big swings. The 2 deeps can pinch in with the one closest to the sideline (6) staying further back and the other (7) stopping any big swings upfield over the wall.

  6. Step 6

if the disc is swung back to the middle the CLOSEST chaser (2) becomes the mark with the other chaser (1) blocking off that open side swing.

  7. Step 7

The 2 deeps are responsible for any deep throws over the wall. Communciate well with each other in regards of space to cover.
