The "smile offense" in a zone works against many zone looks because it facilitates quick disc movement. On the sidelines we create two options by always having a handler strike. Let's imagine a 3-3-1 is set on us. 1,2 and 3 are the main handlers. The center handler (2) is either called "center" or balance. Their spacing can be slightly further back to facilitate easier swings. 4 and 5 are rail cutters. They should set up either in line or only slightly upline from the handler they are working with. If they push too far upfield they are less effective because 2nd row can cut off any throws to them. 6 is a free range popper called the "target." They can pop into any hole. 7 is a deep popper. 6 and 7 can switch places.
Let's swing to the force side...
Now 3 will strike for 5 to create an upfield option
5 will create an easy dump but coming directly 90* behind the thrower
and we swing immediately
same thing will happen on this side
strike
dump
